With 6 hectares under vine, the winery specialises in small-batch production, offering a diverse selection of seven wines each year, including cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay and merlot. Recently, the estate achieved significant recognition, winning the ‘Best White Blend’ gold award and trophy for its 2024 SSB at the 2024 Sanector Wine Show of Western Australia. Additionally, six wines from the 2023 and 2024 vintages garnered bronze awards, marking a triumphant return to self-labelling since 2011. This revitalisation underscores O’Callaghan’s vision of blending innovation with tradition, positioning Island Brook Estate Vineyard and Chalets as a noteworthy player in the local wine scene. Island Brook Estate is a unique destination in the Margaret River wine region, renowned for housing one of the oldest dry-grown semillon varieties, with over 40-year-old vines that beautifully embody the region’s essence. The estate produces exceptional wines that visitors can purchase online or at the cellar door, open Friday to Sunday from 12pm to 5pm, with additional hours available upon request.
