Firetail Wines

Firetail Wines

Established in 2002, Firetail Wines is a small winery estate, just a short distance from the Margaret River. Since founded, the owners, Jessica Worrall and Rob Glass, have meticulously nurtured and improved the original vines that were planted in 1983 to produce the highest quality wines. Surrounded by breathtaking views from the rolling vine hills, and the bushland of Jarrah and Marri, the estate is a hidden gem.

Firetails Wines specialises in crafting sparkling chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, semillon, chardonnay, malbec, and cabernet sauvignon, all with balanced aromas and flavours to excite the tongue. Mastering the art of winemaking, Firetail Wines has 4.5 hectares under vine, and harvests 1,000 cases a year from low yielding vines using low impact viticultural practices, delivering quality with the most intense flavours. The small size of the vineyard allows for the workers to give personal care and painstaking attention to the vines, creating wines where you can literally taste the love.

With an emphasis on wood, Firetail Wines uses handcrafted French oak barrels to age its wines, adding a distinct balance of fruity flavours with an undertone of oak. Similarly, the cellar door is made from handcrafted French oak, adding sophistication to the appearance of the small winery, reflecting the simple elegance of its wines.

Firetail Wines has a unique touch that differentiates its wines. Made to mirror the season the grapes were grown in, the wines are reflective of the unique climate of the Margaret River region, possessing a variety of characteristics that presents distinctive flavours, textures and aromas.

A glass of any Firetail speciality wines will leave you feeling warm and loved, just like the vineyards are. With a detailed pruning and care process to ensure that the best quality grapes are grown, and personally chosen winemakers that understand and reflect the drive and passion for producing quality wines, Firetail Wines ensures that every bottle of wine is crafted with care.
