Frazer Woods, located in the renowned Margaret River wine region, was founded by John Frazer and his wife Jan Woods. The couple purchased the property at an auction on the fourteenth of December 1985 at the Vasse Hotel, initially acquiring mostly bushland, a large paddock and a shack with no electricity. Despite its raw state, they saw potential and were determined to nurture and transform the land into something special. This spirit of experimentation, dedication and excellence has shaped Frazer Woods into a producer of some of Margaret River’s finest sparkling wines.

The winery has two ranges – La Cache and Frazer Woods. With just two hectares under-vine, Frazer Woods produces two to four wines per year, focusing on quality over quantity. Over the years, Frazer Woods has earned multiple accolades, including a gold medal and the trophy for Best Other White Blend or Varietal for its La Cache Blanc de Blanc 2014 at Langton’s Margaret River Wine Show in 2022, and silver and gold medals for the 2015 and 2016 vintages, respectively. Today, Frazer Woods continues to craft wines with the same passion and commitment that John and Jan brought to the property nearly four decades ago.

Frazer Woods is a family-owned and –operated winery and the original dedicated sparkling house in Margaret River. Specialising in premium sparkling wines made from local pinot noir, chardonnay, and shiraz, Frazer Woods takes full advantage of the region’s ideal wine-growing conditions. Margaret River’s climate allows for the development of aromatic complexity and intense flavour with minimal intervention.

Frazer Woods wines are small-batch and hand-crafted, reflecting the region’s class and sophistication. Each sparkling wine is made using the traditional method, spending between five to ten years on lees before release. As a boutique producer, Frazer Woods focuses on releasing wines when they are fully ready, rather than adhering to conventional timelines. In addition to its exceptional wines, the winery has created The Sparkling Collective, a boutique wine club designed to offer member benefits and access to Frazer Woods’ distinctive sparkling wines.
