Jarvis Estate

Located in the booming region of Bramley and the esteemed Margaret River region, Jarvis Estate is run by powerhouse duo Matt and Jackie Jarvis. Working hard to nurture and cultivate wines of the highest and richest quality, the pair proudly produce eight varieties of grapes throughout the year: sauvignon blanc, cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay, shiraz, merlot, semillon, malbec and cabernet franc. Also available at the cellar door are port, limoncello, brandy and mistella.

Yielding an impressive 35,000–50,000 bottles of wine each year, Jarvis Estate’s wines thrive on nine hectares of rich, nutritious soil that contribute to the overall quality of its sensational vintages.

The estate is fifteen kilometres inland from the Indian Ocean, and its close proximity to the ocean and its two seasonal currents stabilize the temperatures, creating a warm climate with cool nights. This slows the ripening period of the grapes, enhancing the intensity of the flavours.

Established in 1998, with its first yield in 2002, Jarvis Estate provide guided tours of the estate as well as barrel tastings. If you’re wanting something a little more adventurous in terms of accommodation, Jarvis Estate also have six camping sites available to those wishing the sleep under the stars. By booking at one of its off-the-grid campsites, you are completely self-sufficient to do as you please, and wine tasting is also included as an appealing bonus.

Dog lovers rejoice, as Jarvis Estate is a dog-friendly winery that fully embraces the addition of any canine companions itching to tag along with you on your winery journey.

Located down a well-beaten road, flourishing in the picturesque landscapes of the futile Margaret River region, Jarvis Estate is a must-visit destination for connoisseurs and wine lovers alike. Make a booking today and be swept off your feet by this charming little treat of rural heaven.

Tasting Notes

2021 Jarvis Estate Chardonnay
⇐ 2022 Jarvis Estate Chardonnay

The 2021 vintage featured a cooler and wetter spring followed by a warm to hot summer. These almost perfect weather conditions produced this wonderful chardonnay. The wine has a creamy, soft finish with a hint of butter and some great oak characteristics.

2022 Jarvis Estate Semillon
⇐ 2023 Jarvis Estate Semillon

This barrel-aged and fermented semillon is a classic Bordeaux style, though dry with elegant flavours of peach, apple and lime. A slightly nutty texture from the oak and with some bottle age, this fine wine should develop flavours including hints of bees wax and burnt toast. Only 500 bottles were made, drink now or cellar for up to 20 years.

2019 Jarvis Estate Cabernet Franc
⇐ 201 Jarvis Estate Cabernet Franc

Cabernet franc is a traditional French variety that is rich ruby in colour. This wine has lifted raspberry, blackcurrant, cherry and floral notes on the nose as well as a slight savouriness and lifted oak. The palate is soft and rounded with integrated oak, cherries, blood plum and raspberry flavours, providing a long and persistent finish. You will reap the rewards of patient cellaring for 15 years.

2018 Jarvis Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
⇐ 2021 Jarvis Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

This mature cabernet sauvignon exhibits flavours of dark berry and raspberry fruit with a spicy lift and subtle toasty oak. Fruit is pure and silky with a ripe red dark berry flavour profile and soft fine tannins. Drink now or cellar for up to 15 years.
